Earth, Fire, Air, Water – they have more power than you dream.

Ever since her ex-boyfriend spread those lies about her, Becca Chandler is suddenly getting all the guys—all the ones she doesn't want. Then she saves Chris Merrick from a beating in the school parking lot. Chris is different. Way different: he can control water—just like his brothers can control fire, wind, and earth. They’re powerful. Dangerous. Marked for death.

And now that she knows the truth, so is Becca.

Secrets are hard to keep when your life’s at stake. When Hunter, the mysterious new kid around school, turns up with a talent for being in the wrong place at the right time, Becca thinks she can trust him. But then Hunter goes head-to-head with Chris, and Becca wonders who’s hiding the most dangerous truth of all.

The storm is coming . . .(

*******************************************************
I have had this series on my list of ones to read for a little while now. I loved it.

This is really about one main family Merrick's. Michael (the oldest and guardian), Nick & Gabriel (the twins) & Chris (Junior and youngest brother). They are pure Elementals and as such should have been killed the the "Guides (powers that be)" years ago. Their parents made a deal to keep them safe but ever since that deal they have been in danger from other Elementals who are scared of their powers.

Becca meets Chris in a chance meeting while Tyler & Seth bet the crap out of him. Thinking that she must save him, she rushes to his aid and now they will both be in danger.

Hunter is a new boy is school and Becca has made friends with him. Hunter teaches her some self-defense moves and they became really close. She is drawn to both Hunter and Chris which could be a problem.

Now everyone is out to kill Becca and she has no idea why as well as her new friend Chris. She can not tell anyone about the brothers which puts a strain on her relationship with her BFF Quinn.

This is an amazing adventure and you really feel the brothers love for each other as well as frustration of their situation. Who chooses this for them, who has a say on who lives or dies? They just want to be left alone. They are bullied everyday but can not even stand up for themselves because of the "deal" they made. That is just crazy.

In the end will all of the brothers survive a fight of their lives and who will Becca choose to trust with her heart?

Happy Reading.
