Zandy’s had too much to drink and is in the wrong place at the wrong time. She knows she’s going to die.
When her eyes open again, a beautiful man-creature is holding her in his arms. He is just too tempting to resist—her fallen angel.
She wraps herself around his body, determined to have him.
Reality crashes in when he turns out to be flesh and blood. She’s just molested a New Species.
Tiger’s shock quickly turns to intense passion when the small human female kisses him. She’s trying to get his clothes off and wants to share sex with him but she’s lying across the hood of his Jeep and he’s engaged in a task force operation.
Tiger has made it clear that he will never take a mate.
There’s only one small problem — they can’t keep their hands off each other. The taste and feel of her just leaves Tiger wanting more.
Tiger is head of security and not the marrying type. Tiger cannot understand why all his friends are hooking up with the human females, he thinks it's a bit crazy. Tiger says he "never" wants a mate.
Zandy is a 31 year old 2 time divorcee. Both times her husband cheated on her. Zandy is very very done with men. Zandy left her hometown for a job and bought a house. The job would be awesome except for her boss who keeps sexually harassing her.
Zandy has an exceptionally bad day and finds herself trying to drown her sorrows at a local bar. When a fight breaks out at the bar Zandy is nearly crushed to death. The local sheriff call in the NSO to help him contain the situation. Tiger and his NSO team get the situation under control. Tiger finds Zandy and has to perform CPR.
Once Zandy is breathing again Tiger takes her outside to wait for the ambulance and Tiger fears she will awaken and panic upon seeing his face. Zandy does awaken but as soon as she sees Tiger she thinks she has died and Tiger is the angel to take her to Hell. Zandy thinks he must be a Fallen Angel with the beautiful cat like eyes and the body of a God.
Sometime later Zandy has answered an ad to work for Reservation in the mail center. Once there she once again encounters Tiger. Zandy thought that in her drunken and confused state that Tiger was not as beautiful as she remembered. She was wrong he is that beautiful. The attraction Tiger and Zandy have together is still there and they both need to explore it but neither want a commitment.
Tiger has hangups of being tied to closely to one person because of his fear of losing them. Zandy has had terrible trouble with men and fears commitment with another. Together they try to just go with the flow and hope for the best. They like being together and it works for now so why mess with it. But the relationship is tested when Zandy is attacked once outside the gates of the Reservation, once inside Reservation, and then kidnapped from her own house. Geez..... Then more challenges arise when Tiger is injured.
Will they be able to leave the past in the past and move forward together toward a happy future?
Another good story from Laurann Dohner. The building of the relationship between Tiger and Zandy is really good. The part of them not accepting this as a relationship and being really cautious is cute because they both want the same thing but are both really scared. They are honest with each other about there feelings and if you did not LOVE Tiger from books 1 - 6 you will love him here for his honesty. The raw passion that ignites from the characters is beautiful and I love that Zandy still looks at Tiger and thinks ANGEL. Tiger has saved her life about 3 different times in this one. I would say Guardian Angel instead of Fallen Angel.
